I've heard that the s26 in South Korea now support native airdrop as part of quick share. 

A) Is this expected to release to other devices such as the s25

And b) do we have a timeframe yet. As in would it be the stable 8.5, or sometime after that?

There have been reports of new Quick Share features rolling out with the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea.

However, there’s no official confirmation yet regarding wider availability or support for other devices like the S25, nor any confirmed timeframe.

Samaung has confirmed it will come to older devices however as to when we don't yet know.

I read that it's expected to be in the 8.5 stable release.

It's a Google feature developed by them for Android, so I can't see Samsung gatekeeping it, when they didn't even develop it.

It has been released on the S25 beta 9 for now.
I can't test it as most of my circle is Android thanks to truly yours 😊
