When I am in a specific album in the Gallery app and select photos that are already marked as favorites, it would be useful to have an option to "Remove from Favorites" (Unfavorite) directly from that album.

Currently, this option is only available when viewing the Favorites section, but not when browsing other albums. Adding this option would make photo management faster and more convenient, without requiring users to switch between sections.

We can mass deselect them via favourites album

So could it be simpler than that? Just uncheck the favorites (heart) in any album where it is marked and that photo will disappear from the Favorites album as well.

The issue is efficiency. Why should I have to open 30 photos one by one and tap the heart 30 times, when I could simply select all 30 photos, tap the three-dot menu, and choose "Remove from Favorites"?

Also, if I'm organizing photos within a specific album, why should I have to leave that album, go to the Favorites section, select the same 30 photos there, remove them from Favorites, and then go back to the original album? It would be much more convenient if the "Remove from Favorites" option were available directly from any album, just like other batch actions.

Please read the full suggestion before replying. The point isn't whether it's possible—it's about being able to do it directly from any album, without switching to the Favorites album first.

Ok, I don't use Favorite album regularly, no need double photos.

There are no duplicate photos created. Favorites are just a tag/metadata mark applied to the original photo. The Favorites album simply filters and shows the photos with that tag — it doesn't create copies.
