Android auto not connecting to my car everytime. It's hit and miss, I've tried a wifi dongle, cable and give it every permission, unrestricted power and background use. I have tried every thing suggested by Google. Any ideas any one?

Hi what car and what mobile ?

AA can be temperamental with wired, but that was years ago for me.

Have you tried clearing the mobile AA app cache and data, delete from your car, then start clean.

Oh depending on your car, OEMs also can be the issue, most car manufacturers are not tech types and hopeless at testing and updating every new app release, or Android update.

Yep tried everything. My car is a Nissan Qashqai 73 model. But doesn't have WiFi, that's why I tried a dongle. Thank you

So wired just doesn't connect, odd, even a different cable.

Wireless is overrated.
Try Nissan forums i think 🤔

I have the same problem with our vauxhall Astra. It's a 2016 model so getting on a bit now. It either refuses to connect or you get sound with a black screen. Then on the odd occasions it works. I've just gave up with now. Just use my phone as a Satnav if needed.

Forgot to mention we also have a VW campervan fitted with an android head unit. That works all the time.

Manufacturers have to keep testing updates, but automotive in particular are bad and just amass tech debt and do nothing.
